Form // Function 3D Motion Graphics Product Ad
Form // Function is an experimental 3D motion graphics product film that explores design through motion, material, and transformation. The project focuses on abstract form studies and procedural animation to showcase how structure evolves when function is expressed visually, resulting in a sleek, futuristic CGI product narrative.

Form // Function explores the relationship between structure, motion, and material through a futuristic product lens. Rather than focusing on traditional branding, the project treats the bottle as a sculptural object, using abstract transformations, procedural motion, and material experimentation to highlight form as the core narrative driver.
The Challenge:
CREATE A VISUALLY DRIVEN PRODUCT FILM THAT COMMUNICATES VALUE WITHOUT RELYING ON TRADITIONAL BRANDING OR NARRATIVE.
Rather than explaining the product through features or copy, the challenge was to let form, motion, and material do the talking. The goal was to design a piece where abstraction enhances clarity, and where movement itself becomes the language of the product.
By stripping the object down to its essential structure and rebuilding it through motion, the project aimed to explore how visual rhythm, transformation, and precision timing can express purpose, identity, and intent without words.
The Idea:
USE ABSTRACT MOTION AND MATERIAL EXPLORATION TO REVEAL PRODUCT IDENTITY THROUGH TRANSFORMATION.
The Impact:
BY FOCUSING ON TRANSFORMATION RATHER THAN TRADITIONAL PRODUCT PRESENTATION, THE FILM POSITIONS FORM AS A STORYTELLING TOOL.
The project demonstrates how abstract motion and material exploration can communicate value without relying on messaging or narration. By allowing the product to emerge through rhythm, structure, and contrast, the film creates a flexible visual language that can adapt across campaigns, platforms, and future iterations.
The result is a timeless motion system that elevates perception, reinforces design intent, and proves that function can be felt as clearly as it is seen.
